Air India Carry On Baggage Fees & Pets Fees
Only one piece of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 8kg is permitted. Excess weight over the allowed free hand baggage allowance of 8 kg will be charged at INR 500/Kg (GST extra) for domestic sectors beginning November 1, 2019. The charges for travel from and into India to the US/UK/EUR/Australia/Canada are USD 40/Kg (GST extra). All other international sectors for travel out of and into India will be charged USD 15/Kg (plus GST).
Pets in the Cabin:
Air India will accept small pets on domestic flights. The pet must be transported in the prescribed soft ventilated bags/kennels (kennel size not to exceed 18" x 18" x 12"). The pet's total weight, including the container, should not exceed 5 kg. Small pets will be charged as excess baggage, with a fee ranging from $100 to $200.
