2. Southwest Excess Baggage Fee
Any additional bags you take on a Southwest flight will cost $75 for each bag. If you really have a lot of baggage, 10 or more bags, each of those will cost $110 to take on board.
Each of these extra bags is only allowed to weigh a maximum of 50lbs/23kg. There is an additional overweight fee of $75 per item if any bag weighs more than the permitted 50 pounds. Remember that bags weighing more than 100 lbs. cannot be accepted and will be returned. For luggage that weighs between 51 and 100 pounds and that is oversized (measures greater than 62 inches), there is a one-way fee of $75.00 per item (but not more than 80 inches).
